We are immensely dedicated, hugely motivated and believe in the sharing of experiences. Based on that approach we work together to produce unique, multi-layered wines. Our white wines undergo slow and controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats or traditional wooden barrels. We use a 60-year-old basket press for the production of our red wines. This way we create powerful, harmonious, extract-rich, terroir-driven and lively wines with a lot of potential.

AS WE ONLY USE PERFECT GRAPES …

to process in our cellars, we can maintain the character of each single vineyard and make wine that exudes that character. We want to preserve the quality of the grapes during the winemaking process and we want that quality to shine through in the glass. During the vinification process we rely on the best possible wine-making equipment combined with traditional knowledge and a lot of instinct. It is our philosophy to create wines with enormous ageing potential.

IT IS OUTSIDE IN THE VINEYARDS …

where the foundations are laid for the quality of our wines. There are very few estate wineries in the world that adopt the same delicate and extremely labor-intensive approach to pruning that we do. We wholeheartedly believe in looking after our vineyards in a way that is easy on the environment, in tune with nature and geared towards quality.

Even when we use machinery and tractors, we consider the environment and try to reduce the level of emissions.

ONLY SOIL THAT IS ALIVE …

can transport the terroir. By grassing over the aisles, by using mechanical tilling, by dispensing, as far as possible, with herbicides and by introducing responsible crop-protection measures we help preserve our valuable ground and encourage the growth of aromatic grapes. One of our most important and useful little helpers is the earthworm, who only live.

When it is time for the harvest, our pulse starts racing: Only once a year do we have the opportunity – working together in perfect harmony – to transform a wonderful product of nature and make it shine in bottles. We concentrate fully on the most delicate and most demanding part of our work. Our grapes are one-hundred-percent healthy; they have reached their top physiological maturity; they have been hand-picked and handled with respect; they help us produce top wines that meet world-class requirements.
